The real one, that is.
This time last year I was in Uganda, and decided to attend their labor day festivities. I was quite underwhelmed by the whole thing- no marches in the street or anything like that, just a sparsely attended, government-sponsored event that was extremely boring. One man sitting down by the stage repeatedly tried to start chants but was drowned out by silence. So, labor-oriented Americans, we are not the only ones with something lacking on this day. It would still be nice if we acknowledged it, though.
